Oktorp Nr 2, “Lars Heljes farm”, (also spellt “Helges” / “Holgers”), was the farm whitch was moved to Skansen.

In Oktorp you find also Oktorp Nr 1. If you look in the household examinations from first half of 1800’s about the Oktorp farm, Oktorp Nr 2 “Lars Heljes gård”, you will find three families. One of this is relatives to us, but not the family who sold the farm to Artur Hazelius when he created Skansen in Stockholm. (At least not what I yet know.)
As the celebrity the farm is today, it earns great respect. I visited Skansen yesterday, 1 maj 2011, and happened to pass a man with a skirt telling that he was a Skansen employee . “To bad that the Oktorp farm not is open, it originate from my home region.”, I saied.
“OK, do you know when it was moved to Skansen?”
“No, but maybe in the end of  1800’s, because I have some postcards with the Oktorp farm on Skansen from beginning of 1900’s.”
“It was moved 1896 as farm nr 2, before was only the farm from Dalarna.”, told Lars-Erik Larsson, zoologist at Skansen.
We had a very nice conversation. Thanks Lars-Erik! (The man who talked to the mooses.)
